PDF-Compression-Rollout
Section titled “PDF-Compression-Rollout”Spun out of Core/IT/Tasks/PDF-Compression.md to batch-apply pdfcompress (Ghostscript /screen, text-lossless) to the broader Accounting PDF corpus.
Outcome
Section titled “Outcome”Superseded — the actual compression work happened under File-Naming-Vault-Wide-Rollout (log: Core/Processes/Logs/2026-08-17_File-Naming-Vault-Wide-Rollout.md), which retooled pdfcompress with built-in verification (verify_pdf_text.py — page count + every numeric token survives) and compressed in place: Taxes (298 of 382 files), Investments all years (42 of 232). Talbot confirmed 2026-08-18: “compression of needed files done.” No separate work required under this task; closed as satisfied.
