CE accreditation is the lever. Several of these events accredit sessions for CIRO and FP Canada CE. The Strategic Plan puts a certification/CE path in Phase 4 — but a speaking slot at an already-accredited event reaches the same audience without SDC having to become an accreditation body. Cheapest test of the restart message in front of a real room.

  • ⚠️ Not yet researched: the advisor-practice podcast and newsletter layer (Canadian equivalents of the US practice-management shows). Gap, not an absence — fill before any media outreach round.
  • CAILBA — Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies; the MGA channel’s trade association.
  • CE — Continuing Education credits, which licensed advisors must earn annually.
  • CIFPs — Canadian Institute of Financial Planners.
  • CIRO — Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, the amalgamation of the MFDA and IIROC. CIRO ID = investment-dealer stream; CIRO MFD = mutual-fund-dealer stream.
  • IAFP — Institute of Advanced Financial Planners.
