AI Department (Core) — Job Description

Mission: Own the AI operating methodology, agent infrastructure, and skill library across all businesses. Keep the tooling that lets Talbot run businesses with AI agents simple, reliable, and SSOT-clean. The Tools sub-dept maintains technical AI tooling.

Dept vs CEO: CEO (Talbot) sets direction and approves. The AI department is the function that maintains the agent/config machinery; its Director is an AI agent at A1 (drafts → CEO approves). Boundary with Processes: AI owns ai-config, skills, and agent infrastructure; Processes owns KB-OS, SMTM, and dev/process standards.

  • Skill library — ~/.claude/commands/ + skills/; creation, review, retirement; the Skills Dashboard

  • AI operating methodology — prompting standards, AI-dev-workflow, model selection guidance
