Ongoing projects now have a project-level entry point, so one command continues any project: /project-continue <name>. Each ongoing project’s ROADMAP carries a ## Now block, which names the one active task and its exact command. Where decisions are deferred, it also carries a ## Waiting on Talbot section. The design was approved in SMART-DEBT-Strategies-Library round 9 and piloted on SDC/IP/Projects/Strategies-Library/ROADMAP.md.

  • project-now (~/utils/project-now/, on PATH, registered in Core/IT/Utils/Custom/project-now.md) is a stdlib resolver. It walks from the registry to the ROADMAP ## Now block to the task file, verifying each task exists, isn’t complete, and has a Claude Response count that decides /task-start versus /task-continue. It returns one of five states: OK / STALE / FALLBACK / IDLE / NONE. --check supports audits.
  • /project-continue has an ongoing branch. Step 0 decides whether the project is finite or ongoing. O1 runs project-now. O2 hands off to the real task skill, so the rock, category and charter gates still fire. O3 handles “no active task”: it offers the next ROADMAP item as a forced choice, sanity-checks that item against STATUS, and creates the task using the routing rule.
  • /task-complete:
    • Step 7b now covers KB-native projects as well as repo-backed ones. It ticks the ROADMAP item, rewrites ## Now, adds a line to STATUS Recently done, and verifies the result with project-now.
    • Step 4c: for an ongoing-project task, option 2 is pre-filled with the next ROADMAP item, and “terminal” becomes “leave the project idle”, which is recorded in ## Now.
    • A task counts as ongoing-project work if it has project-type: ongoing, or if its project: value is a registry row. The second test catches tasks like sdc-sdapp-deploy-miniapp, which has project: monorepo and no project-type.
  • /setup-ongoing-project gained ROADMAP/STATUS/UPGRADES templates, which were missing entirely, plus a KB-native mode.
  • /audit-kb-os gained Step 5b: project-now --check, where a Biggest Rock is RED and any other project is YELLOW. A project with no ROADMAP is not a finding.
  • SMTM_System.md v5.9: a new Continuing an Ongoing Project subsection, an ongoing variant of the Continuation Gate, and an updated Three Constructs table and skills table.
  • Retrofit: ## Now blocks were added to KB-OS, Ideas-Workflow, Focus, System-Maintenance, ai-config, monorepo and rate-scanner. The pilot disclaimer was removed.
  • DASHBOARD: the LevPro and sd-app rocks now link to the monorepo portal note rather than a task file.
  • Smart template: System-Maintenance was added to kbProjects.
  • monorepo: one ## Now line per active sub-project thread. /project-continue asks which.
  • web-deploy, my_backup, my_OpenClaw, CRM-20: left without a ROADMAP. They are maintenance-mode projects handled through tasks, so --check ignores them.
  • KB-OS “Dept-aware /task-complete”: ticked. Logs to <dept>/Logs/ shipped in Step 6A. The dept CHANGELOG idea was dropped because Logs/ already is the dept’s history. Lessons stay at project or global level.
  • Continuation: create the next ROADMAP task, which became KB-OS-dept-inference-routing.
  • Test the value a forced choice pre-fills, not only the pointer it resolves. Every pointer verified OK, yet three “next item” values were wrong:
    • KB-OS: a stale ROADMAP offered finished work. Fixed by ticking 5 items that STATUS records as done.
    • ai-config: a standing rule was written as a checkbox. It is now a plain bullet.
    • rate-scanner: plain bullets meant nothing was offered. They are now checkboxes.
    • This lesson was promoted to KB-OS LESSONS.md.
  • “Also open” lines in ## Now are not pointers. The resolver filters them out. The first version read them as active tasks.
  • Found, not fixed: the SessionStart inject’s 2000-character cap cuts the Biggest Rocks table after row 6, so SDC.com never reaches a new session. The cut predates this task, and Talbot declined to promote it to UPGRADES.
  • Not yet run live: the /project-continue ongoing branch. The first real use is /project-continue Strategies-Library. The Step 7b rewrite ran for the first time at this close, and project-now kb-os reported OK afterwards.
  • ai-config: 5acb0c1, 4463da2, 0d67bf2, 66e3604
  • monorepo: 63a9348
  • mbr: 72b3f33 and an earlier rate-scanner ROADMAP commit
  • project-now: 7b33228
  • KB: the task-round commits, plus this close
