Skills Stale-Path Cleanup — 2026-07-06

Spun out of ai-config-rules-upgrade Phase 4 (audit surfaced Phase-7 vault-restructure debt in live skills). Executed per Talbot’s decisions.

What changed

Deprecated (deleted) — superseded / broken:

• now, nowcpw — read the deprecated _Now.md; deleted ai-config sources, antigravity/skills/now/, and all deployed copies (WSL + Windows + ~/.gemini + monorepo .agent).
• session-close — fully superseded by project-task-complete; deleted source + deployed (WSL + Windows) + Skills Dashboard row.

Repointed stale paths (KB/Business no longer exists post-Phase-7):

• task-complete.md, session-close.md (before deletion): KB/Business/_WorkingOn → KB/Core/_WorkingOn.
• filter-focus-refresh.md: 03_Processes/Business-Ideas-Workflow.md → MBR/IT/Processes/Business-Ideas-Workflow.md.

SSOT gap closed:

• filter-focus-refresh.md was deployed-only → moved into ai-config/claude/commands/ (now version-controlled + deploys).

Verification

• Zero KB/Business / 03_Processes / 04_AI refs remain in any live command.
• New targets all exist; now/nowcpw/session-close confirmed gone from the live skill list; Windows targets clean.

Gotcha (worth remembering)

• deploy.sh uses cp, not rsync --delete — deleting a skill source does NOT remove the already-deployed copy. Deprecating a skill requires manually rm-ing the deployed copies (WSL + Windows + any IDE targets) in addition to git rm of the source.
