Market order updated 2026-09-06 (CEO decision, recorded in Filter+Focus.md): Canada restarts first, the U.S. comes next. The advisor characteristics below hold in both markets — what changed is the sequence, not the profile. Individuals are a distant secondary focus: the free Strategies Library serves them and SDC.com must route them early, but nothing is built for them ahead of the advisor line. See Strategic-Plan.

  • have client-first ethics
  • are “average”, mid-career
    • 3+ years experience; 5+ years from retirement
  • want to grow business (via time, education, $)
  • are busy and value their time
    • want communication and solutions that are efficient and easy
      • education, analysis, marketing
    • => minimalist, progressive, personalized detail level, …
  • interested in learning
    • professional education (CE credits)
    • personal wealth acceleration

Priority order, per the 2026-09-06 decision:

  1. Securities-licensed advisors and private bankers — the higher-end channel. Least regulatory friction on leverage, most client capacity to act, and the segment where rigorously verified analysis is most obviously worth paying for.
  2. MFDA-lineage mutual-fund dealers and insurance advisor dealers — reconnect with simple, irrefutable, client-first messaging. This channel has little appetite for leveraging, which is precisely why the credible thing to bring it is a tool that tells most clients not to leverage.

Canadian financial industry: dealer head offices, investment lenders, money managers, advisor-facing media (Centres of Influence), regulators — the same centres of influence that carried the 1996–2008 playbook, now stale and needing a restart.

Same advisor profile. Entry sequence is research → relationships → validation → start small → expand. Weaknesses.md records near-zero current understanding of this market and its regulations, which is why it follows rather than leads.

U.S. financial industry: advisor media (especially Centres of Influence), money managers, lenders, regulators.

Individuals / investors — distant secondary

Not a build target. Served by the free Strategies Library, and routed early on SDC.com so they find what is useful to them without diluting the advisor path.
