SVP-Dept Org Ladder + OrgChart Tool
Section titled “SVP-Dept Org Ladder + OrgChart Tool”Follow-on to 2026-08-30_VP-Wrapper-Role-Identity.md — that task retired “Director” for “VP” on CEO direct-reports but left no rung above a chartered sub-dept IC (surfaced when placing a UX article: belongs under IT, but no slot existed between VP-IT and an IC).
Decisions
Section titled “Decisions”- Ladder: CEO → SVP → VP → IC. SVP = CEO’s direct report (renamed from the 2026-08-30
VP-*), VP = a chartered sub-dept reporting to an SVP, IC = individual contributor. Agreed over Dir→VP→CEO — one clean rename, frees “VP” for the rung actually needed. Core/Misc/OrgChart.mdis a generated artifact, not a task file — no logs/decisions/Next-Steps inside it, only current state.orgchart(new tool,D:\FSS\Software\Utils\PythonUtils\orgchart\) regenerates its## Treefenced block from every Staff file’sname:/reports_to:frontmatter; surrounding prose stays hand-maintained.- Tool naming schema (
Naming System.md§2): artifacts/tools are nouns, no verb prefix (folder_structure,orgchart); action scripts keep the verb (deploy_astro_site.sh); skills stay hyphenated verb-noun (dept-init).Generate Folder Structure.mdrenamedfolder_structure.mdto match its own dev-project name. Skill-Developer(IC) →VP-Skills— Tools sub-dept gets its own VP under SVP-AI instead of an unranked IC.- SVP-Strategy/Risks/Offerings: SDC-homed wrapper Staff files, not a new Core dept. No shared cross-business doctrine exists yet to justify a Core anchor (unlike Mktg’s F.A.S.T. methodology, 2026-08-30). Homed in
SDC/(primary business, 2026-08-27) rather than a Core folder or MBR — same wrapper mechanism asSVP-IT/SVP-Mktg, reads the MBR JD too when the task path implies. No dept is CEO-only-managed anymore — Talbot’sStaff/CEO.mdstays final say + personal-task owner on Strategy, SVP-Strategy does day-to-day drafting. - MBR reframed as absorbed into SDC, not a peer business — matches the 2026-08-27 refocus;
Agent-Team.md’s MBR section now reads “absorbed into SDC — subset,” SDC section leads.
What shipped
Section titled “What shipped”- 5 Staff files renamed
VP-*/Accounting-Director→SVP-*(AI, Processes, IT, Mktg, Accounting); everyJOB_DESCRIPTION.mddirector:field + Staff bullet,Agent-Team.mdroster,ai-config/AGENTS.mddept-charter map swept. orgcharttool built (uv project +Core/IT/Utils/Custom/orgchart.mdregistry note), scans the whole vault (not justCore/— extended after the SDC-homed SVPs would’ve been invisible to a Core-only scan), regeneratesOrgChart.md’s tree deterministically. 15 agents in the current tree.VP-Skills(Core/AI/Tools/Staff/VP-Skills.md) — promoted fromSkill-DeveloperIC.SDC/{Strategy,Risks,Offerings}/Staff/SVP-*.mdcreated; both Strategy JDs’ “CEO IS this dept’s lead” contradiction swept (mission line, staffing scope item, Decisions bullet); Offerings/Risks “TBD” Staff placeholders filled;Agent-Team.mdreordered SDC-first, MBR section reframed.- 2 lessons promoted: concurrent-session collision check (→
ai-config/AGENTS.mdHard Rules) and tool-scan-scope-after-homing-decision (→ this project’s ownLESSONS.md).
