Origin story

• SSOT created: MBR/Strategy/Identity/Origin-Story.md — every fragment in the vault, verbatim with citations: the Origin-story.md task bullets, Exec-Summary Founder Story + 4-line summary, the Dynalist export’s SDC-pivot narrative + “why Better not Best” naming story + confession tie-in, the brainstorm-archive first-person statement, and (from MBR-Upgrades-CC) Talbot’s near-finished “Why 50%?” media Q&A, the 1:11 pm gratitude alarm, and Sam Harris/GWWC journalist-grade sourcing (Making Sense #228; Company Pledge Oct 23 2020).
• Fact-check flags (§8): Globe origin article is 2026-03-25 B9 by Hanif Bayat (WOWA.ca) — not 04-04; “Les Charles”→Les Schwab; the original cancer-pledge PDF is not in the KB; “vendor belt” dictation unresolved (Vanderbilt?).
• Talbot’s personal follow-up task: MBR/Strategy/Tasks/Origin-Story-Finish.md.

Content migrations (all marker-grep verified before archiving)

• Executive-Summary-2.md → unique framings (lie-by-omission, Trojan Horse, Client-First-Truth, F.A.S.T.-Frictionless) merged into Executive-Summary.md “One-Page Version” → archived.
• Referral-Fee-Mechanics.md → fee table + full AIStudio affiliate-mechanics report (Fintel Connect/Impact.com, CPA/CPL per category, sub-ID tracking for the pledge receipt flow) → Revenue-Models.md §4.
• “Responsible Optimization” (define the optimization target first + leverage confession) → Core-Philosophy.md.
• Pledge ops mechanics (TFF Nov 12–Dec 31 doubling window; in-kind securities ≈ +$10k/$100k) → C50P Phase-B task.
• Graphify-usage.md suggestions → Core/AI/Inbox.md; QBO/client-data open question (from myMBR-OS) → MBR/IT/Inbox.md; /program-review idea → KB-OS UPGRADES.md; myMBR-OS sync-rule/build-sequence → its STATUS.

Structure

• 13 stale task files archived to MBR/_WorkingOn/Tasks/archive/2026-07/; _WorkingOn/Tasks/ now holds only the live C50P Phase-B task + infrastructure.
• rate-scanner promoted to registered ongoing project (via /setup-ongoing-project): repo SSOT docs (AGENTS/STATUS/ROADMAP/UPGRADES/CHANGELOG/LESSONS at ~/projects/mbr/rate-scanner/), registry row, Smart-template entry, portal MBR/IT/Projects/rate-scanner.md; _WorkingOn/Projects/rate-scanner/ dissolved (ongoing ≠ _WorkingOn/Projects/); rate-scanner-upgrade task → MBR/IT/Tasks/ (repo-backed convention — supersedes the earlier “project Tasks/” verdict, flagged openly).
• myMBR-OS project → MBR/IT/Projects/ (deferred until MBR established).
• STANDARDS.md generalized → Core/IT/Utils/Utility-Reliability-Standards.md — closed a deferred item sitting in the IT charter’s UPGRADES since 2026-06-25.
• MBR-Business-Dev/STATUS.md refreshed (was 2026-04-05).
• Empty dirs _WorkingOn/Plans|Someday/ deleted; Strategy/Notes|Resources/ kept per Talbot.

Gotchas / warnings

• mbr-cleanup.md vanished from the archive folder between sessions (outside Claude’s actions) — recovered from git history and re-archived in the amended commit. Verify archive completeness at commit time (git ls-tree), not just at move time.
• MBR-Upgrades-CC (1993L) needed almost no re-extraction: that session birthed Filter+Focus.md + Executive-Summary.md, so a marker-grep against those SSOTs was the right verification, not line-by-line extraction.
• .agents/skills/ caveman suite inside the vault flagged to AI dept (Core/AI Inbox) — placement vs ~/ai-config SSOT undecided.

Open follow-ups (owned elsewhere)

• Talbot: finish the origin story (Origin-Story-Finish); C50P Phase-B task is ready.
• Projects/CRM/ left as dormant design output (no live task).
• Dept Inboxes now hold the routed Dynalist backlog — future /triage-inbox fodder.
